I lied.

Earlier I had blogged about how I had the greatest friends. Saying how 'I don't know what I would do without them' and 'I just could never make it with them not here with me.' Thing is, I lied. But I did learn something important...

Today I had the chance to look at my sister's myspace. And as I was scrolling down her page I came across this:

"I've looked up to you since I was so little. You've been the one I do everything with or want to do everything with. You have been the one that I have the best times with. You've really made me rethink the way I wanna live my life. &You have really changed my perspective on people and the how some people are just not the ones I should be involved with. Your my hero Mikalie & since I don't look up to Mom and Dad your the one person that I feel I do want to be like. Sometimes I want to tell you everything and cry on you, but you would think it's weird. I love you very much, and It's true your sister will be your best friend when you grow up."

I want Shalai to know that I love her more than anything. That I only want the best for her, and that is why I sometimes act like mom. I'm only here to protect you. I hate to see you hurt. I hate to see you go in the wrong direction. Everything I do is out of love. I know we argue and fight, but I could never hate you. Ever since we were little we've been inseperable. You are the one I know I can come to for everything. I'm sorry for ever getting upset at you. I'm sorry if I've ever hurt you. I'm glad that you are the one who ended up as MY sister. Lately I've learned who my real friends are. And for me, everyone has changed and showed me their 'true colors.' But I know no matter what, you will always be here. And your right, it is true that your sister will be your best friend when you grow up. I love you Shalai. You're an amazing sister, and I'm lucky enough to call you my best friend.
